Anyone interested in youth and llamas:
If you are a youth involved with llamas, a llama project leader, or someone who knows someone who is, this program is for you. The LANA organization is interested in promoting youth who are involved in llamas and has a wide ranging program that rewards youth in several areas and age ranges. Age categories are determined by the age of the contestant as of Jan 1 of the current year.
Art Competition
Category 1: youth age 7 years and under
Category 2: youth age 8-13 years
Category 3: youth age 14-18 years
Essay Competition
Category 1: youth age 8-13 years
Category 2: youth age 14-18 years
Community Service Participation
Category 1: youth age 8-13 years
Category 2: youth age 14-18 years
Llama Record Book Medalist Competition
Junior: youth age 8-10 years
Senior: youth age 14-18 years
Youth Across America Award
one age category - youth age 8-18 years of age
chosen from entries in the Llama Record Book Competition
Winners receive medals, national recognition at Expo as well as in the LANA newsletter, a scholarship to Expo's Youth Program, and for the Youth Across America winner, a beautiful belt buckle and a $500.00 scholarship.
